Stripe is an online payment and credit card platform designed for businesses. It facilitates secure and efficient processing of funds via credit cards or bank transfers. The Stripe Payment Add-On of Mewayz SaaS allows companies to accept credit and debit card payments from customers worldwide, supporting various payment methods like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
Before You Start: Selling to Your Own Customers Requires Stripe Connect
If you are selling to your customers through a Mewayz storefront — Online Store (EcomStore), Bookings, Events, courses, and the other selling modules — the API keys described further down this page are NOT used for those payments. Customer card payments flow through Stripe Connect, a one-time onboarding that links your own Stripe account so funds are deposited directly into your bank account.
Until Stripe Connect is set up, your storefront checkout will only offer “Cash on Delivery” — no card payment option will appear to your customers. If your checkout seems broken or is missing card payments, this is almost always the reason.
To connect Stripe:
- Log in to your Mewayz account and go to Settings, then find the Stripe Connect / Payouts section (your Online Store’s own Settings → Payments tab shows the same status card).
- Click “Connect Stripe” and complete Stripe’s onboarding (business details, identity verification, and bank account).
- Once Stripe enables charges for your account, the card payment option appears automatically at your storefront checkout — no further configuration is needed.
One Stripe Connect account covers customer payments across all your selling modules — store, bookings, events, and more.
The sections below describe the separate Stripe API-key Add-On used for invoice, retainer, and plan-purchase payments.

How to Access Stripe Add-On ?
- Visit the Mewayz website : Go to https://mewayz.com/ to access the Mewayz Mewayz platform.
- Navigate to Mewayz Add-ons : Explore the “Mewayz Add-ons” section on the website to discover available Add-ons.
- Discover Stripe : Browse the list of available Add-ons and find the “Stripe Add-On” .
- Activate the Add-On : Click on the “Activate” button next to the Stripe Add-On to enable it for your Mewayz account.

Users can add their Stripe API keys to the settings page of Mewayz, and Stripe can be used within various modules in Mewayz, such as the Invoice Module, Sales Invoice Module, Retainer Module, and Plan Purchase Module, enabling users to make payments and receive receipts for each transaction, enhancing the overall payment experience for both businesses and customers.
Super Admin Settings (Plan Purchase by the Company) :
The “Super Admin Settings” are typically accessible to the highest-level administrator or super administrator within a software platform or system. These settings allow the super admin to manage various aspects of the company’s usage and subscription plans. This may include :
- Purchasing or upgrading subscription plans for the entire company.
Here, you can manage the payment gateway keys from the “Settings” of the Super Admin Login.
Company Settings (Invoices, Retainer, etc. Payment) :
“Company Settings” in the context of invoices, retainers, and payments refer to the configuration options available to a company or organization for managing financial transactions. These settings may include:
- Configuring invoice templates and customization options.
- Setting up payment gateways for accepting payments from clients or customers.
- Defining retainer or deposit policies for services or products.
- Managing tax settings and compliance.
- Setting payment terms and conditions.

How to Generate Key ?
1. Access Stripe Resources :
- Log in to your Mewayz account as an administrator.
- Navigate to the settings page.
2. Obtain API Key :
- Follow the guidelines provided in the documentation to generate your API key.
3. Configure Stripe in Mewayz :
- Within the settings page, locate and select the “Payment Settings” option.
4. Navigate to Payment Settings :
- Scroll down until you find the **“Payment Settings”** section and click on it.
5. Set Up Stripe Gateway :
- Keep scrolling until you find the **“Stripe Payment Gateway”** option.
- Click on the Stripe Payment Gateway to access its configuration settings.
6. Provide Essential Details :
Within the Stripe settings, enter the following key details :
- Publishable Key : Enter your Stripe Publishable Key.
- Secret Key : Input the Secret Key associated with your Stripe account.
7. Save and Activate :
- Save the entered details to activate the Stripe Payment Gateway within your Mewayz platform.
Note : The Stripe Add-On is a paid feature and can be accessed by users who have purchased it. Integrating the Stripe Add-On into your Mewayz account will provide a reliable, user-friendly payment gateway supporting global transactions.
